Project Engineer

Project Engineer - Aberdeen - Topside

My client, based in the oil and gas sector, is looking for an experienced project engineer to begin work on a three and a half year project based in Aberdeen.

The project will be focused mainly on the modification of existing topsides, primarily based in the office with a small amount of offshore inspections.

Looking for candidates with a long working history in the oil and gas sector. Previous offshore work preferable, previous project engineering/management experience preferable.

The successful Project Engineer can be a technical generalist in a variety of disciplines including but not limited to equipment, structural, mechanical, subsea, piping, and instrumentation in the oil and gas industry.

Basic Purpose of Job:

- Deliver projects that meet client requirements: Cost, Schedule, Technical Specification, Quality and Assurance.

Main Duties:

- Responsible for the efficient implementation of projects, modifications of existing topsides and closely interfacing with Facilities Engineers to ensure the Company are aligned with Client priorities and expectations.
- The role will involve client facing, you will be the face of the project, therefore history with client facing and good soft skills would be very beneficial

Experience:

- 10 years or more experience in the oil and gas sector

Technical (including IT):

- Good working knowledge of industry standards, specifications and guidelines.

Interpersonal:

- Ability to work independently or as part of a multi discipline engineering team Good communication skills.
- Enthusiastic and self motivated team player with the ability to work on their own initiative.
- A lack of formal qualifications should not deter a candidate with suitable experience from applying.
