Project Engineer

Project Engineer needed for 6 month contractor position with BSChE or BSME with 5+ years at a petrochemical plant east of Houston, TX. The primary focus will be working on the Request For Change (RFC) which is the starting point for the plant's Management Of Change (MOC) process. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Project conceptualization, design, implementation and documentation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance to identify solutions to equipment and design issues.
- Investigate requests to define the objective, scope, and a budgetary cost estimate.
- Will complete new project details including drawings, equipment specifications, bid packages, and cost estimate, etc. Once projects are approved the Project Engineer will solicit bids and quotes and supervise the "Change" to the plant.

REQUIREMENTS

- BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years experience in a petrochemical plant.
- Experience with MOCs is required.
- Project management skills and familiarity with OHSA PSM and environmental compliance requirements a plus.
