Project Draftsman - Belgium - 12 Months

A global client is currently looking for a Project Draftsman to join them at their site in Belgium on a contract basis for 12 months initially.

The Project Draftsman is responsible for the realization of the graphic documents in the framework of a project team and in accordance with the guidelines of the Design Engineer. He/she manages a small team of Draftsmen.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Draw up the planning of the research and expectations about the performance within his/her domain.
- Ensure the development of a design study on the basis of the general guidelines drawn up by the Design Engineer (technically responsible).
- Ensure the correct dimensions of installations/equipment/works on the basis of standards, regulations, good practices and internal guidelines.
- Ensure the functional management of a team that focuses on one discipline (guidelines for draftsmen).
- Realize the graphic documents.
- Structuring the files and organizing computer-assisted conceptual work.
- Checking the work carried out by the design team (quality, costs, deadline).
- Prepare and check summary statements of measurement.
- Develop his/her competences with regard to the field and design tools.
- Participate in meetings with the customer or the contractors to provide/obtain technical information together with the Design Engineer (technical contact person).
- Check the implementation documents (analysis, advice note).
- Check the equipment/installations on the site.
- Perform measurements of installations/equipment on site.
- Comply with the Health & Safety guidelines stated in the Project Safety Plan.
