Our client has a requirement for a Project Director for 6 Month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role

This role is accountable to ensure that all areas of business deliverables for the project are completed on time, on budget and within scope. The position required keeps the project team well informed of changes within the organization and within the program, mentors and supports technical and business project team members, and ensures timely escalation to key stakeholders where necessary.

This role is measured by the following:

- Timely delivery of projects as assigned.
- Represent while working assess current state, and prepare requirements, training and roadmap for Master Data Management
- Support the development of staff, including coaching and mentoring in Master Data Management best practices.

Responsibilities

- Working with portfolio leads and subject matter experts, creates and executes project work plans for Master Data Management project. Revise plans as appropriate to meeting changing needs and requirements. Includes building plan to identify key change events.
- Identifies resource needs and assigns individual responsibilities for all business areas of the project
- Manages day to day operational aspects of a project or projects for scope
- Responsible for completion and maintenance of project plan and schedule for business areas of the deliverables
- Review project scope, goals, requirements and deliverables for each project
- Effectively applies acceptable methodology and enforces project standards
- Ensures project status reporting is completed on a regular and timely basis
- Assures all project business documents and deliverables are completed and signed off
- Facilitates team meetings effectively
- Holds regular status meetings with the project team
- Effectively communicates issues and risks and relevant project information to stakeholders and ensures timely escalation for resolution where necessary
- Ensure quality of work is achieved within projects through ongoing review and evaluation of project plans, project deliverables and "building quality in" work processes and performance reporting.
- Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with internal clients, operational staff, consultants and management to be aware of issues that impact on current and future projects, manage expectations, resolve conflict and elicit their support and co-operation.
- Act as facilitator to support collaboration across the organization.
- Promote knowledge continuity, coordinate the efforts of Data Governance and Data Strategy
- Support the decision making process by providing context to the business, and acting as consultant to ensure the right decisions are made.

Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:

- Certified Project Manager designation in PMI, Agile or Lean methodologies, or 5 years' experience leading Business Intelligence projects
- Experience managing Enterprise Datawarehouse, Business Intelligence, Master Data Management or Reporting projects
- Project Management, co-ordination, risk management, gap analysis and mitigation planning
- Eliciting requirements, creation of test strategies for each project
- 3+ year's experience in identifying change management elements within a project or projects and ensuring proper management of change management tasks and deliverables
- Strong communications skills
- Managerial experience
