PROJECT DEPLOYMENT MANAGER - BELGIUM/LUXEMBOURG

LANGUAGES: ENGLISH, FRENCH and DUTCH

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum 5 years in a people management role and managing teams of at least 10 people
- Minimum 10 years of experience with management of IT infrastructure projects or initiatives as a (Senior) Project Manager, a Technical Team Leader, line Manager or equivalent function
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with delivery of large size IT infrastructure projects of high complexity
- Excellent knowledge of PROJECT MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND METHODOLOGIES (EG PMBOK OR PRINCE2), PLANNING TOOLS, ETC. with relevant certificates and accreditation (or equivalent knowledge and experience).
- Understands objectives related to the project from a cost, schedule, technical and quality perspective
- Experience with IT governance processes is an important asset

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

- Flexible to travel, if and as required
- RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (people management & resource deployment management ) and project management practices (processes, tools, methods)
- RESOURCE MANAGEMENT practices include:
- Optimise the number of PM positions/seats across the different locations taking into account the nature of the projects (eg client interactions, location of delivery teams, average PM cost, etc.)
- Administration around requesting seats, filling open positions, contract extensions, travel and expense (T&E) purchase orders and related T&E approvals, etc.
- Administrative resource management activities like on-boarding, holiday approvals, overtime approvals, time and Attendance (T&A) adjustments etc.
- Ensure PM chargeability is optimized by setting up of chargeability objectives for PM's, related coaching, monthly monitoring of level of chargeability, control of time bookings, etc
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT practices include:
- Ensure project management practices are brought up to the next level of maturity, are documented, communicated, rolled out and supported and made available by appropriate electronic means and tooling
- Liaise with the PMO for the implementation of CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS into tools like WorkflowGen, Clarity, OWB, SharePoint
- Lead Project Management reviews (lessons learned) in case of important project failures
- Monitor and control (analysis) of the Project delivery CSL's for the different clients and reporting to the Head of Project Management
- Support audit, business control and compliance reviews that are related to the project management domain
- Takes ownership of the Project Management Demand/Supply process, ensuring project demand is collected on a rolling basis and matched against the overall delivery capacity (also of the other delivery teams), findings reported to the Head of Project Management and the LTM, recommendations for adjusting misalignment, if and as appropriate, are collected and produced by the relevant delivery teams etc
- Support the yearly budget exercise with the consolidated project demand figures (new pipeline and ETC's of running projects) to determine the required project delivery budgets and capacity per delivery team
