Project Delivery Manager

Project Delivery Manager required for a 12 months daily rate contract with a large semi state in Ireland
Reporting into the PMO Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a Portfolio of Projects covering IT and Business, through all phases of the project life cycle. Responsibilities will also include managing a pool of professional internal and contractual resources which include project managers and business analysts to successfully deliver the portfolio of projects.

The Job
Champion PMO Phases and Gates methodology of Project Management across IT and Business functions
Bring leading practice methodology to project management and execution
Support the continuous improvement of project delivery across various portfolios
Provide oversight, direction and support to project teams as required
Act as a key interface to business and IT for project delivery
Manage relationships with all suppliers and contractors, during project phases, monitoring their progress and adherence to the contract
Representing the PMO at meetings with third parties

Have you
Significant experience in leading complex large Programmes/Projects
A proven track record in leading teams, through coaching and development
Previous experience with initiating and maintaining strategic relationships both internally and externally
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, coupled with the ability to generate innovative technical solutions as required
A good understanding of business operations and the commercial viability and impact of technical/professional decisions on the performance of the organisation
Extensive experience in building and maintaining relationships (both internal and external) with excellent influencing and negotiation skills
Project Management and ITIL qualifications

This is an initial 12 month contract with daily rate on offer. Contract can be based in Cork or Dublin.
