The Cost Estimator plays a key role in providing a complete suite of project estimating services and cost risk analysis support for Global Subsea Hardware (GSH) Subsea Production Systems Delivery Teams.

This position develops various project stage estimates (summary and detail), study estimates, estimate basis and plans, cash flow curves, contractor/company cost splits and reconciliations to previous estimates when appropriate.

Key Accountabilities:
* Implement project estimating strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both company and contractor roles and responsibilities.
* Prepare or coordinate the development of project estimates and control budgets for all stages of projects and for sanction.
* Conform estimates and control budgets to project work breakdown structure/cost breakdown structure when appropriate.
* Review and audit contractor estimate development procedures and practices.
* Perform estimate quality assurance reviews of contractor project estimates
and change order estimates.
* Compare estimates to internal and external benchmarks, including company
data bases.
* Review project as-built cost and scope data related to completed projects.
* Develop and update project empirical cost data base with completed project actual costs.

Essential experience and job requirements:
* Minimum 15 years Project estimating experience, preferable subsea production systems.
* Expertise in using estimate development tools.
* The ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
* The ability to recognize and solve problems.
* A proven track record of success involving a strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE).

Desirable criteria and qualifications:
* University educated
* Able to demonstrate significant experience with project stage-gate estimates
