Project Coordinator/Systems Analyst

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating system development work for a production system for the United States Treasury. This system has monthly patches and other work that the candidate will be required to prioritize, schedule, and track.

Responsibilities include developing work breakdown structures, detailed project schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports. The candidate must have 2+ years experience coordinating resolution of defects and implementation of enhancements to a large production system. The ability to work in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment and deal with changing customer needs is a must.

In addition, the candidate may be required to perform analytic duties, including interviewing users, documenting requirements gathering sessions, analysing documentation, writing use cases, mocking up web-pages, and developing process flows and activity diagrams. Candidate should be experienced with facilitating client interview sessions and directly participating in detailed analysis discussions.

Responsibilities include:

Evaluating work for priority based on customer needs

Scheduling work appropriately based on resource availability and other factors

Monitoring the execution of work for production

Issue resolution

Creation of a complex project plan with tasks

Daily monitoring and updating of the project plan using MS Project.

Reporting to upper management

Communicating with customers

Communicating and coordinating with testers and others

Facilitating user interview sessions (in person or via conference calls)

Documenting requirements gathering sessions

Analyzing business documentation

Creating Use Cases, process flows, and activity diagrams

Mocking up reports or web pages (Dreamweaver or similar product)

Qualifications:

Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

PMP Certification or equivalent certification is preferred

At least two years†experience coordinating defects and/or enhancements for a production system

At least two years†experience performing as an analyst

Experience working in a fast-paced, high-intensity production environment

Strong Facilitation skills

Familiar with JEE technologies

Experience working with geographically dispersed clients a plus
