Projektbeschreibung

PROJECT COORDINATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Walnut Creek, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Two to three (2-3) years of project management principles and methodologies obtained by assisting/coordinating mid-scale projects.
- Two to three (2-3) years of experience assisting projects from 500 - 500,000 Hours.
- Experience assisting Projects with a 1 to 2 year lifespan.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Supports successful implementation and ongoing maintenance of projects/programs.
- Strong understanding of project management.
- Ability to create and maintain project schedule in Microsoft Project.
- Interfaces with staff including middle management and internal resources to support successful completion of programs and projects to fulfil user needs.
- Ensures that the audience list is up-to-date.
- Schedules meetings.
- Coordinates vendor/project team engagements.
- Assists with meeting minutes.
- Supports meeting facilitation.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to project sponsors, end users and management.
- Supports all project communication needs in partnership with the project manager(s).
- Maintains the project SharePoint site(s).
- Prepares weekly status reports.
- Assists in creating and maintaining project budget; knowledge of planned vs. actual.
- Tracks project resources (time tracking system, MS Project).
- Performs simple to moderate research and analysis on program and project requests, requirements and feasibility.
- Recommends possible enhancements and solutions to Program or Project Manager.
- Recommends SharePoint site design improvements for project communications.
- May be assigned to work on simple projects.
- Acts as a PM backup.
- Manages small initiatives or project subteams.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CAPM certification.
- Understands the core project management tools and has proven ability to understand standard business documentation.
- Expert knowledge of MS Project.
- Intermediate knowledge of SharePoint, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Access, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills. Experience in creating presentations or presenting to managers, business owner, stakeholders and/or executives.
- Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently on several projects simultaneously and under tight schedules.
- Good judgment - proven decision-making abilities.
- Self-starter - ability to learn subject matter quickly.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience working with Insurance a plus.
- Exposure to SDLC and project methodology a plus.
- Experience supporting Contact Center or IT Infrastructure related projects a plus.
