Projektbeschreibung

SUMMARY

- Typically assisting the Project Manager by managing sub-projects (eg administration and control of subcontracts and sub suppliers) or interacting with other internal departments on behalf of Project Management.
- The job shall provide the jobholder with relevant experience in Project Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Communication: Provides adequate reporting to the management.
- Project Organisation: Assists the Project Manager in the definition and set up of the necessary resources for the execution of the sub-project. Manages the allocated sub-project.
- Performance Management: constantly monitors and if requested reports the necessary key performances indicators (KPI) to the Project Manager. Defines necessary actions and decisions to guarantee financial, time, quality and safety performance to maximise sub-project goals achievements, and presents them to the Project Manager.
- Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management: monitors the Project Quality Plan, Procedures, EHS Plan for the allocated sub-project. Implements quality improvements where necessary.
- Ensures best compliance with specification at lowest final cost.
- Claim Management: Pro-actively collects and addresses claim. Informs the Project Manager of any impact on the overall performance.
- Risk and Opportunities: Monitors and reviews the risk and opportunities of the allocated sub-project.
- Evaluates and proposes actions and savings that benefit the performance of the sub-project, consulting with the Project Manager.
- Follows-up these actions implementation and results.
- Project Process: Takes necessary actions to improve the overall project process, consulting with the Project Manager.
- Manages and resolves conflicts.
- Also provides feedback to Sales, Tendering and other Business Functions on the performance of the sub-project and processes.
- Project Planning: Manages sub-project float to ensure timely completion of the sub-project.
- Avoids scheduling conflicts
- The Project Coordinator controls and monitors the following:

Process performance
Suppliers, Contractors - Assists the Project Manager in planning and managing the execution of the allocated sub-project from Contract signature to close out, in line with Contract requirements.
- Responsible and accountable for a specific sub-project (eg administration and control of subcontracts and sub suppliers)
- Ensures that sub-project management and subcontract administration are performed according to Sector procedures and best practices and that appropriate proactive measures are implemented to address/mitigate project risks.
- Ensures completion of sub-project performance goals to meet Business objectives and Customer satisfaction.
- Ensures optimal quality of sub-project execution and reviews
- Ensures that critical sub-project aspects are identified in project reviews and proactively/professionally addressed and followed up
- Customer monthly report preparation/input coordination
- Field Service personnel request input and updating
- CoPQ coordination and follow-up on actions
- Monitoring the progress of suppliers after order placement.
- Input of the purchase requisition and tracking until the PO or PO revision is completed.
- Maintaining the project action register and following up on assigned actions.
- Coordination of PDM information with procurement to support obtaining parts quotes
- Maintain the customer documentation submittal register
- Support internal weekly and quarterly reporting requirements (eg coordinate inputs for the quarterly project reviews)
- Support the coordination and activities within the internal execution process

The Project Coordinator informs, consults, agrees with the Business Management and (if required) the local Unit Management and/or Function Management the following actions relating to:

- Business Management:
- Actions/incidents that have a significant impact on the overall performance of the business or/and reputation

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of company
- Knowledge of other functional areas within the organisation
- Knowledge of the international environment
- Knowledge of the domestic environment
- Ability to adapt, be flexible, and maintain enthusiasm and focus under the demands of a fast-paced, multi-cultural, and changing environment
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: frequent sitting, standing, and walking; frequent computer use; frequent telephone use; some lifting or moving up to 10 lbs

- Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- In lieu of Degree will consider a combination of education or technical training plus 3 years of required industry and or project management experience.

EXPERIENCE

- Experience in the power generation industry, preferably steam turbines, of at least 5 years.
- Flexible and open minded
- Working in a multi-national company environment
