Project Coordinator

I am currently recruiting for a Project Coordinator/Junior Project Manager for a well know client based in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Coordinator to take more responsibility as a Project Manager and fast track their career in to this type of role.

The successful candidate will help to facilitate the roll-out of governance gateways to numerous projects (IT and Business Change) whilst also helping to define and implement a project and portfolio management tool.

Responsibilities will include:

The development of relevant project business cases
The development of a project initiation documentation and a supporting project plans
The overall planning, daily management and problem resolution for any tasks assigned
The monitoring and maintenance of the project plan
Risk and Issue management for the tasks assigned
The monitoring of performance in terms of quality, milestone delivery and budget expenditure

This client is by no means looking for the finished article and would ideally like a Project Coordinator and/or Junior Project Manager who has had a minimum of two years exposure to the Project Environment. Ideally you will be Prince 2 qualified although experience of working to Prince 2 principles is much more important as is knowledge of the workings of a PMO function.

Please be aware that although it is not essential to be a car driver, the location of this site would be difficult without the use of a vehicle.
