Project Coordinator

Design Project Materials Coordinator needed in Houston, TX for a premier natural gas infrastructure company. This is a long term contract position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plans, schedules, and coordinates with internal and external Design Engineers on the Material Listing Sheet (MLS) submittal process (expediting MLS information to Supply chain) to meet the area construction schedules and ultimately eliminate costly construction delays which impact project in-service requirements
- Monitor updated major materials reports and material cost reports and coordinating with direct liaisons in Project Engineering, Supply Chain, Material Cost Coordinators and the Engineering Design Contractor.
- Monitor the major material report spreadsheet for each project. The major material report spreadsheet is a key and critical report identifying material on-site required dates and dates which Engineering Design must provide information to Supply Chain to enable timely procurement process.
- MLS tracking, RFQ tracking, bid tab tracking, PO tracking, vendor drawing review/approval date tracking, ship dates and expected on site dates.
- Work with the Project Engineer and design contractor to track all items contained on the BOM and ensure all materials have been submitted to supply chain including changes to the BOM and MLS.

REQUIREMENTS

- BS in Engineering or Business with 5+ years experience working within supply chain, expediting and engineering environments on large scale projects within the oil and gas industry.
- Utilize SAP to generate project material status and cost reports as required for the Project Engineers and Material Cost Coordinators.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, work in a fast-paced environment and accurately completes job responsibilities within the specified time constraints.
- Microsoft Project, Excel, and strong understanding of spreadsheets.
