Project Coordinator

DESCRIPTION

Hours and days:
8 hrs a day, 40 hrs a week

Experience Level: BA or BS preferred, Associate degree required plus minimum 3+ years of direct relevant experience.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including equipment operation):
3-5 years experience in spreadsheet design.
3-5 years experience in report writing.
3-5 years experience using analytical software, ie Business Objects, Microsoft Suite, etc.
A background in medical supplies.
Previous experience with Materials Management systems.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including equipment operation):
Effective communication skills.
Minimum 1 year experience with data and financial analysis.
Minimum 1 year experience with report writing.
Advanced spreadsheet skills, 3-4 years experience with Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Access, Powerpoint, and Word.
Ability to work independently with a variety of customers in varying levels of profession and hierarchy.
Strong project management skills with proven ability to handle multiple projects.
Strong customer focused professional mindset.
Understanding cause and effect.

Scope of the project:
1. Manage the recall/alert process for the region. Challenges include identify if the alert/recall impacts the region by checking the Datawarehouse, working with Buyer/Senior Buyers and/or Bio-Medical Engineering. Processing alerts, resolve and close class I within 5 days of receipt, and class II and III within 3 weeks of receipt - challenges include dealing with several people and having to respond within a very short time frame.
2. Develop and maintain accurate statistical reports. This requires a thorough understanding of the business issues, products used within the Region and how data is contained in the Datawarehouse and how the data is captured from Business Objects.
3. Manage multiple projects, customers and timelines. Workflow is unpredictable and all demand immediate attention, the challenge is to prioritize across carious initiatives.

Top daily responsibilities:
Research and communication of medical device recalls to various people and groups within the NW Region.
Reports - Ad hoc and canned daily, weekly, and monthly reports
EDI transmission failures - Verifies order failure and places order with vendor
Updating of vendor routing within the OneLink System.
Be a back up to our Data Analyst I position (for vacation or sick days)
