Project Controller role (SAP) - Based in Glascoed - £210 a day - 12 months contract

This is a great opportunity within a leading defence organisation. They are currently looking for a Project Controller to join on a contract basis for 12 months.

This role involves working closely with Engineering Project Teams and providing project office services to a Project Manager. It would be suitable for an individual with good administrative skills, who has had some exposure to formal Project Management techniques (eg as a Project Administrator) who now wishes to take the next step forward.

Experience required for the role:-
- A background within a formal Project Management environment and knowledge of a structured approach to the management of projects eg Prince, APM or equivalent
- Experience of working in a formal Project Management environment from inception through to completion.
- Familiarity with, and competence using an ERP system, knowledge and demonstrable practical experience of the SAP system would be of significant benefit.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A technical background in mechanical, process, chemical or similar Engineering industries would be beneficial but is not a pre-requisite.
- Familiarity with the issues surrounding import/export controls.
- Experience of operating in a safety critical environment (Chemical Processing, Nuclear, Explosives etc).
