Project Communications Delivery Manager

My Bristol based Public Sector client is seeking a Project Communications Delivery Manager/Communications Delivery Manager for a 6 month contract (potential to be extended).

Key Tasks for the Project Communications Delivery Manager/Communications Delivery Manager:
* Responsible for the development of stakeholder propositions and copy (staff, customer, industry)
* Manage the delivery of all communications campaigns and products for external and internal audiences for the major projects
* Create message propositions and strategies for targeting the different stakeholder groups
* Liaise with project personnel, subject matter experts, senior managers, SROs and Directors to agree key messages
* Manage the complex approval process for all communications products with project personnel, Directors and CEO where appropriate
* Negotiate with senior management and Directors where messages from projects are conflicting
* Attend and sit on the client's project boards, as directed by line manager, representing SMER and Corporate Communications.
* Ensure consistent project content is written across all communications channels, giving particular attention to Business Change and Transformation messages
* Organise regular and timely updates to projects, line manager and colleagues in Corporate Communications team, including Head of Unit CSL and Director
* Provide regular activity and status reports to line manager, project, Head of Unit and Director
* Participate and contribute to project teams and Corporate Communications team meetings
* Deliver communications digitally (electronically) where ever possible
* Respond to short notice organisational deadlines and requirements

Experience Required for the Project Communications Delivery Manager/Communications Delivery Manager:
* Experience of working in any of the following fields:
- Communications, Customer Service, Customer Liaison, Copywriting, Marketing, Campaign Management, Direct Marketing, Journalism, Press

* Experience of managing communications delivery across multiple channels. This should include writing copy or content for a variety of communications channels for example letters, briefing notes, presentations, press releases, brochures, leaflets, customer information, external e-mails, websites, intranets
* Liaison with 'subject matter experts' whose background is not in Communications or Copywriting
* Management of stakeholders at a range of levels including Directors, Senior Managers, Managers, Executive Officers and Administrators
* Proficient in Microsoft Office IT, particularly word and excel
* Good communications and interpersonal and team working skills
* Ability to write in a clear, engaging and concise fashion
* Experience of writing/copywriting

Occasional visits may be required: Nottingham, London, Swansea, other Bristol sites.
