Project Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- This involves working with existing staff and the Design community, building upon improved relationships that the New Construction Team has developed over the last year.
- This position is responsible for managing new construction and major renovation projects for commercial and industrial customers for implementation of electric and natural gas energy efficiency measures.
- This position is also responsible to follow up on leads and to respond to new inquires, make contacts and promote cost-effective energy efficiency measures to architects, engineers, business owners and construction managers.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with implementation of high-efficiency equipment and designs for lighting, heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, energy-saving control strategies, efficient building design, and other options.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE:
(1) Follow up on leads and to respond to new inquires, make contacts and promote cost-effective energy efficiency measures to architects, engineers, business owners and construction managers.
(2) Review architectural, mechanical, or electrical plans and specifications to evaluate energy efficiency or determine program eligibility and estimate energy savings.
(3) Keep project tracking system up-to-date at all times with pertinent project status and key details.
(4) Understanding of IECC and ASHRAE 90.1 building codes regarding energy efficiency.
(5) Assist customers and designers in understanding programs and consult on specific energy efficiency projects.
(6) Review building simulation models for reasonableness and accuracy.
(7) Provide technical assistance to the Energy Efficiency Sales Executive team as needed.
(8) Work both independently and within a team to implement energy efficiency projects.
(9) Manage critical project implementation timelines to complete project tasks in a timely manner.
(10) Review the scope of projects in the design phase in order to maximize energy efficiency opportunities.

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline
- 5 years experience performing engineering or project management duties.
- Related experience in commercial and industrial energy efficiency is preferred.
- Requires solid understanding of computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrations of exceptional customer service and communication skills are required.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED AP or Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
- Energy modelling experience is also highly desired.
- 2+ years experience of Project managementbasic Energy Efficiency measure QA/QC & vetting.
- Engineering, working experience with ASHRAE 90.1, analytical & spreadsheet skills.
- BS in Engineering, Economics, Sustainable Design or equivalent degree
