Project Accountant - York - £400 - £500 per day - 3 months initially

Profile:

A role has arisen for an assistant accountant to join Aviva's UK Life division in York working with the Solvency II project team. Reporting to the project accountant the role involves working as part of a highly capable and motivated team on managing the financial aspects of the programme including the forecast model and financial governance. Managing the resource forecasting model for the Solvency II programme Liaising with programme office and project managers to ensure the model is accurate and reflects the requirements of the programme. Managing the budget change control process to ensure financial disciplines are rigorously applied Assist with the financial overview of the programme - producing variance analysis and reporting Resolution of project related finance issues and queries
Preparation of papers for the budget committee and steering group

Skills:

*qualified or part qualified accountant
*experience of project finance/accounting
*strong excel
*Strong working knowledge of excel
*Qualified or part qualified accountant (or qualified by experience) or PMO analyst
*Excellent attention to detail
*Numerate and analytical with capability to interpret financial data
*Good understanding of programme office and project processes
*Experience of project finance/accounting
*Knowledge of financial reporting processes
