An exciting new role has become available to work within the Consolidation Reporting team who are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the Group consolidation and producing all group reporting requirements including reporting up to group level. The role is responsible for maintaining the accurate accounting and financial reporting for the Corporate entities and Group.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Year end support in preparing the Report and Accounts.
- Supporting the consolidation process by liaising with the Hyperion Systems Administration team where necessary; knowledge of Hyperion is key, training/guidance will be provided as necessary.
- Review analytical review of the results to ensure that they are understood and investigate any items that look unusual.
- Own and maintain the relevant financial control and risk framework processes and documentation for the team including reconciliation processes.
- Develop procedures, controls and reporting to improve the quality of reporting, the value add from analysis and reporting and the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the teams work.
- Liaise with external connected parties to ensure timely and accurate supply of inputs required to the reporting process.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

- High level of technical knowledge of Life Assurance accounting (IFRS and UK GAAP).
- Good general experience of insurance environment, regulatory framework (FSA), solvency measures and actuarial principles and practices.
- Knowledge of the Hyperion consolidation system and processes.
- Qualified accountant who can demonstrate the application of accounting and financial principles, including knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS reporting standards and FSA reporting through post qualification experience.
