Project Accountant

Parity professionals are currently recruiting for a Project Accountant to be based in the city centre of Edinburgh to run until the end of October 2015.

Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following.

- Planning, design, management and development of complex information systems ( (eg allocation model for ACT funding (additional cost of teaching) and new Management Information, Reporting and Forecasting system)
- Liaising with numerous and very senior stakeholders from within and outwith the organisation in respect of the development of systems and support for the implementation of complex projects. (eg working with stakeholders.
- Responsible for providing highly complex analysis information (financial and non financial)
-providing technical advice and support, and developing systems to support the planning and implementation of complex projects.
- The post holder is responsible for the production of reports and the analysis of data to inform stakeholders as to the progress and impact of particular projects
- Take the lead role on the financial aspects of projects, including highly complex financial modelling and service change issues where precedent exists, coping with incomplete information/making judgements about robustness of information and drawing meaningful conclusions for management.

Ideally you will come from a public services background or have some exposure within a public sector environment.
