Project Accountant

ROLE SUMMARY:

A member of the Card Linked Offers and Finance teams (Matrix reporting lines), primarily implementing the financial and administrative operation of a new revenue service.

KEY WORK OUTPUTS

- Preparation of daily and monthly Merchant reconciliations
- Monitoring the status of Merchant offers and funding levels
- Checking and validation of Billing template data
- Checking Merchant registration data
- Data import and invoice generation
- Verify invoices to input data
- Print and post/email invoices and supporting documents
- File invoices and supporting documentation
- Journal origination
- Regular reporting of KPIs
- Work closely with the Merchant Team to resolve Merchant queries
- Liaise with merchant team and chase Merchant receipts in accordance with approved credit control terms.
- Monitor and report on collections and outstanding balances
- Perform routine credit checks for merchants participating in card-linked offers
- Cashflow planning and ongoing monitoring
- Engagement in collections
- Contributing to and generating Management Information (MI)
- Inputting of on-boarded merchants into Oracle/Ariba for invoicing purposes

EDUCATION/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

- Part Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA).
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- Flexibility to prioritise tasks from different areas within the teams.
- Sound knowledge and experience of financial accounting.
- Experience of credit control.
- Demonstrable experience of financial administration (invoicing, bank reconciliations, MI reporting)
- Strong numeracy and Microsoft Excel skills.
