Project Accountant

PROJECT ACCOUNTANT- NORTHAMPTON

This is an excellent opportunity to join a Top Tier Bank in Northampton as a Project Accountant.

The role holder will be required to:

- Act as a liaison between Finance and the Change Delivery programme, understanding delivery plans and ensuring that Finance are always "at the table" for all key decisions.
- Challenge decisions being made and work to ensure that the programme is delivered on time and to budget
- Establish and lead on effective, detailed, insightful reporting for European Consumer Lending for both delivery and future performance post go-live
- Oversee the project from a financial point of view to ensure we remain in governance at all times in relation to spend approvals.
- Responsibility for all financial results being closed in a timely manner
- Ensure the project is executed in line with best-practice governance rules
- Ensure we at all times have robust, detailed and comprehensive plans through to conclusion of the project
- Challenge plans to ensure they accurately represent likely outcomes and ensure that we do not have risk of ungrounded challenge.
- Ensure clear communication of timelines, processes and key milestones
- Prepare summary information for the senior members of Steerco or other key stakeholders to the highest standards.

KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL

- Must have extensive Project Accounting experience
- Good understanding of project financials
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA
- Banking experience
- Strong Excel, word and access knowledge
