Project Accountant

3 month contract potential for extension Our client is a leading financial services company based in Edinburgh. They are currently looking for a Project Accountant to join their team. The role will primarily be involved in providing Project support to a large Finance Systems and General Ledger Implementation Project.Key Responsibilities:*Develop knowledge of relevant Finance systems, including Access databases and GLs (SAP/Oracle)*Assist with the Finance Impact Assessment stage of the project*Develop and test structures within ledgers and data tables*Perform User Acceptance Testing on new general ledger and key outputs*Support Project Governance and ensure all key stakeholders are aware of progress*Undertake ad-hoc analysis relating to the underlying systems and platforms as requiredAbout You:*Qualified Accountant (CA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) or Qualified by Experience*Hands-on skill set and strong analytical skills - Excel (required) and Access Database (desirable)*Financial systems expertise, with Oracle and SAP of particular relevance*Experienced in project roles of a Financial Reporting nature*Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
