Project Accountant

A Finance Project Accountant is required to work for a large utilities client based in Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire. This contract is for a 12 months initially working full time hours, occasional travel to Hinkley and Warwick will be required.

Experience/Skills required:

-Financial Project Accounting experience
-SAP/Finance operating systems
-Compliance
-Regulatory
-Forecasting and tracking project expenditure
-MI reporting
-Analysis of project risk
-Cost management
-Able to explain Finance terms and processes to the non finance team
-Stakeholder management and influential skills
-Finance qualifications advantageous - CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent

The role:

*Operating financial systems preferably SAP
*Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with experience of tracking and forecasting project expenditure
*Providing detailed MI and dealing with project risks and cost challenge within a contract environment
*Awareness of financial implications related to business risk and awareness of regulation would be advantageous.
*Preparation of Final Account documentation and to undertake trend analysis
*Work with Project Managers to prepare and analyse the year end and estimated costs at completion forecasts
*Preparation and reconciliation of documents required for monthly finance reviews
