- SAP EXPERIENCE

Operating financial systems preferably SAP

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with experience of tracking and forecasting project expenditure.

Providing detailed MI and dealing with project risks and cost challenge within a contract environment

Awareness of financial implications related to business risk and awareness of regulation would be advantageous.

Preparation of Final Account documentation and to undertake trend analysis

Work with Project Managers to prepare and analyse the year end and estimated costs at completion forecasts

Preparation and reconciliation of documents required for monthly finance reviews

*Project Accountant*

Work with Project Managers to ensure that project cost projections are at all times thorough and fully considered. Includes ensuring accuracy of actual costs incurred, that projects are accurately entered on SAP and that effective controls are in place
Interrogate costs at month end and ensure costs are correctly reported in the financial systems for submission to the Management Team.
Undertake audits where required including analysing of monthly cost reports, identifying and sourcing required substantiation and interrogation/certification of costs. Preparing documentation for Year End audit.
Work with Project Managers to prepare and analyse the year end and estimated costs at completion forecasts. Present to Finance Manager for agreement and ensure that forecast is prepared in the correct format for submission
Preparation and submission of cost accruals into SAP Finance system with auditable supporting information. Monitor SAP to ensure cost status of the projects are correct and that information is provided in accordance with the month end accounting timetable
Preparation of Final Account documentation to include Indirect and Direct costs certification.
Undertake trend analysis and monthly review of performance against Budget. Prepare Budget Deviation Reports to analyse and explain all variances to Budget and Forecast.
Ensure that all documents (including risks and opportunities) that are required for the monthly Finance Reviews and are prepared in a timely manner and are fully reconciled
Main point of contact for all queries regarding Project Finance, finance policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring all cost coding is correctly allocated to projects.
Run cost information reports as necessary for Management, Project Managers and ad-hoc information.
