Progress Analyst Developer

A Progress Analyst Developer opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Analyst Developer to join our dynamic and well established development team. The successful candidate will be a highly self motivated proactive problem solver seeking a software development career in the financial services industry.

Requirements:

* 5 years professional PROGRESS experience in both event driven GUI and batch development or professional knowledge of a similar language (Java, C++, Go, PHP, Python, HTML5,.NET, ASP.NET) and an interest in the development of complex and high performing trading and settlement systems.
* Experience of development on Linux/Unix with communication protocols e.g. TCP/IP
* Familiarity with multi-threaded parallel processing systems
* Strong problem solving skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Previous experience in a similar client facing development role

Desirable Skills:

* Computer science degree or equivalent
* Knowledge of financial markets, especially within the Equity and Fixed income asset classes
* Production use of FIX 4.0 or above, message oriented middleware
* High volume real time message handling
* Real time interactive data display
* Secure web development
* Linux/UNIX scripting
* Previous experience in a similar client facing development role, within the financial markets sector
* Extensive exposure to the full development life-cycle
