The Programmer in this role will be primarily working on developing SQL databases and writing applications to interface with SQL databases, as well as writing and testing code. Development often consists of designing tables, storing procedures, views and functions.

Candidate will be primarily collaborating with IT Service Management (ITSM) and Global Technology Operations experts to program and develop dashboards and reports for SLAs, OLAs and KPIs and key operational and maturity data for analysis across cross functional support areas.

The Programmer will interact with Client Tran Managers, the PMO and internal service delivery groups within CompuCom and its clients to enable GTO and IT Service Management areas to analyze data to maintain compliance and show value through process improvements.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop, enhance and maintain applications that use the following technologies: Excel, VBA, SQL, SharePoint.
- Design report options and/or database queries to meet the needs of the organization.
- Write custom reports, SQL Scripts, Advance Searches and queries.
- Analyze stored procedure-based business logic in order to document and propose business solutions and efficiencies.
- Design, development and testing of deliverables.
- Accurately estimate Level of Effort for deliverables.
- Produce code using industry standards to produce an efficient, dependable, quality product.
- Ensure the quality of delivered software through completion of design, appropriate unit/integration/regression/system testing, and code reviews.
- Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers in defining requirements and prototyping solutions.
- Work with users to understand business requirements to create reporting or other solution specifications.

EDUCATION:

- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- ITIL v3 Foundations Certification required
- ITIL Intermediate Certification a big plus

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- 3+ years of software development experience required
- 2+ years of Back End MS/SQL development required
- 3+ years professional experience working with SSRS/SSIS
- 2+ years of programming experience required (.NET/Java development)
- Experience with SharePoint required
- Extensive knowledge of T-SQL jobs, tables, stored procedures, synonyms, views, triggers and functions
- Experience in writing efficient SQL queries on SQL Server Database; must have experience with SQL Error Handling, SQL Views, SQL Triggers, SQL Stored Procedures and Functions
- Experience in writing SQL Reports and SQL Server calls from Microsoft products (Excel/Access etc.)
- Very strong 2008-2012 SSRS Report Writer
- Experience using SQL Server 2008-2012, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, ETL tools, Windows Power Shell Scripting, and Windows Operating Systems
- Experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) building user-defined functions (UDFs), automating processes and accessing Windows API and other low-level functionality through dynamic-link libraries (DLLs); manipulating user interface features, such as menus and toolbars, and working with custom user forms or dialog boxes
- Experience with developing and supporting complex T-SQL-based business logic
- Microsoft SQL Management Studio, including tools, such as Execution Plans and SQL Server Profiler
- Fundamental understanding of object-oriented design and programming (OOD/OOP)
- Designs report options and/or database queries to meet the needs of the organization
- Writing custom reports, SQL Scripts, Advance Searches and queries
- Analyze stored procedure-based business logic in order to document and propose business solutions and efficiencies.
- Design, develop and test deliverables through all stages of project life cycle
- Ability to accurately estimate Level of Effort for on-time completion
- Produce code using industry standards to produce an efficient, dependable, quality product
- Ensure the quality of delivered software through completion of design, appropriate unit/integration/regression/system testing, and code reviews
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server version control
- Ability to collaborate with relevant technical staff and project managers to constructively facilitate efficient and controlled delivery
