Programmer Analyst Job

PROGRAMMER ANALYST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in UNIVERSAL CITY, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for implementing and maintaining mission critical systems used by Creative at multiple worldwide locations to design/develop/deliver attractions to its theme parks worldwide.
- This includes testing, analysing and supporting software programs and applications along with configuration/administration management of applications.
- Provide end-user support for the Prolog Manager, and Prolog Converge software suite.
- Provide end-user support for the Creative SFTP site.
- Run software tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
- Assist in the definition and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
- Provide support for various hardware and software upgrades.
- Support during non-business hours as needed.
- Collaborate with other internal IT teams as needed to support the business requirements.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Applications: Prolog Manager, Prolog Converge, GlobalScape EFT Server, SAP/SRM.
- Development Tools: MS SQL Server Script, VBA, .NET technologies, Crystal Reports.
- Infrastructure: Windows Server 2008/2012, Web Services, .NET, IIS, Citrix.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required; majors in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field preferred.
- Two to three (2-3) years of work experience in an IT support function.
- Experience with relational database - Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel and or work weekends with short notice.
- Experience with SQL database and query best practices including triggers, and stored procedures.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively contribute to multiple efforts in an efficient manner.
- Ability to manage a high volume of details with excellent accuracy.
- Track record meeting targets and objectives.
- Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
- Results oriented with a history of problem resolution and prevention.
- Effectively handle sensitive and confidential matters.
- Experience in theme park or construction industry highly desirable.
