Programmer Analyst

You'll be an integral part of a team, which is responsible for the development of new systems and enhancement of existing systems. Your primary focus will be a Microsoft SQL Server developer building and maintaining our database systems with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Studio. Additionally, you will work with the rest of team to build and maintain Microsoft .NET applications that utilize C#, HTML, JavaScript and other similar languages. As a member of the team you will understand the technical systems at Associated Financial Group, what their business purpose is, and ensure technical documentation is complete and accurate.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Write code for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures, user defined functions, and triggers.

Write reports and manage data flows using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Integration Services.

Be a key problem solver for performance, development, and production issues

Implement data models and database designs; resolve database performance issues and other distributed data issues.

Develop & maintain .NET applications using Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server.

Research and recommend technologies that address technical and business requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):

2-year college degree or equivalent IT industry experience

2 - 5 years progressive IT Experience with Microsoft SQL Server experience including SSRS and SSIS

A computer science degree working with Object Oriented languages or equivalent experience with the Microsoft Dev. Stack

A strong customer service driven mentality

Good interpersonal and problem solving skills

Strong relational database development skills

Ability to work under the supervision of a team lead, to work independently, and as part of multiple teams on overlapping projects.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

4-year college degree or equivalent IT industry experience

4 years of experience with the Microsoft development stack (SQL/C#/ASP.NET/WPF/WCF/WINFORM)

Experience with all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle in both waterfall & Agile work environments

Ability to work with minimal direction from management

Ability to work with both business and technical teams

Experience working with Sales & Marketing teams in the Financial Services industry
