Programmer Analyst

Yoh has a six (6) month contract (potentially contract to hire) opportunity for a PROGRAMMER ANALYST to join our client in KANSAS CITY, MO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participates in the development of Internet/Intranet software systems.
- Assists in modelling and maintaining relational databases.
- Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for installations of software applications.
- Maintains accurate software documentation and adheres to development standards.
- Interprets user requirements to develop technical requirements and program design documents for application software, utility programs, specialty software, and databases.
- Quickly comes up to speed on existing software applications and is responsible for maintenance releases and bug fixes.
- Understands and adheres to development standards.
- Assists in developing systems with a high level of reliability and performance.
- Performs debugging, data analysis, and system analysis as required.
- Assists in modelling and maintaining complex relational databases.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in computer programming and software design or related areas with emphasis on application development and database management.
- Strong time management, initiative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience developing in Visual Studio 2008 and/or Visual Studio 2010 including applications written in C# is required.
- Knowledge of SQL Server 2008, relational database design, stored procedures, and user-defined functions required.
- EXPERIENCE DEVELOPING/MAINTAINING ETL PROCESSES USING SSIS IS A PLUS.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- SQL Server 2012 experience is a plus.
