Programmer (.NET, SQL, XML, IIS, SQL Server, C#, ASP.NET)

Required/Desired Skills:

- 3 years of working knowledge of C#, SQL, ASP.NET -Required
- 3 years of working knowledge of .NET framework architecture, and distributed computing concept - Required
- 2 years  of Working knowledge of Complex SQL,  optimization of Stored Procedures, Stored Functions, Views, Triggers, Scroll Cursors - Required
- 2 years of working knowledge of reporting software ( Access, Crystal Reports or other reporting software) -Required
- 2 years of working knowledge of XML, IIS and SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 - Required
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing - Required
- 3 years of working knowledge of VB, VB.NET, ASP, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript - Highly desired
- 2 years of full life cycle applications development experience - Desired
- Strong working knowledge of system documentation using MS Office suite including MS Word and Excel - Desired

IT Smart is seeking a Programmer with the above skills for a client in Trenton, New Jersey.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component & assembly testing of all application code. Programmers typically are involved in maintenance (including production support), enhancement & development work.

Preferred Education:
4 year college degree or equivalent technical study

Role Description:

- Analyze and design enhancements, development programs, and/or required fixes to production problems.
- Design web-based applications to functional and technical programming standards.
- Work with IT Project Management staff to gather and interpret user requirements into design specifications.
- Develop system specifications and interfaces.
- Determine time estimates and schedule for work.
- Assist in managing and directing Application Team processes.
- Coordinate work with other software developers on Application Teams.
- Operating System expertise sufficient to perform performance and tuning diagnostics.
- Work with users to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
- Anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team.
- Identify and track issues, risks and action items.
