My client is delivering construction and engineering projects throughout the UK and due to a growing requirement we now have opportunities for up to three Risk Engineers to join a significant client delivering high end projects throughout the UK.

The ideal candidates will have a broad Project Control/Risk management background

Purpose of the role:

To provide an efficient and effective risk management service to project and programme teams within Capital Delivery.
Ensure that risk management on projects and programmes comply with the requirements of the Risk Management process.
Facilitate the identification and analysis of risks on projects within the project life cycle.
Undertake qualitative and quantitative risk assessment workshops (cost and schedule), producing outputs in order for project teams to make informed decisions on the management of project and programme risk.
Ensure that projects have a risk register, the risks are up to date, that they are regularly reviewed and that appropriate mitigation action plans are put in place and acted upon.
Provide regular reports to project teams on the risk status of their projects.
Advise projects on appropriate management of contingency and ensure that risk information is utilised effectively in driving value for money and efficiency improvements.
Support the improvement of the risk management process towards 'best practice' project and programme risk and contingency management.
Support the implementation of a Risk Management system.
Promote a risk culture in the organisation and provide support, education and training.

Key Tasks:

Experience Required (in an Engineering/Construction environment):
1. Sound knowledge in all aspects of project and programme risk management facilitation.
2. Able to build cost and schedule risk models and Primavera Risk Analysis.
3. Able to explain the results of cost and schedule risk assessments to non-specialists.
4. Can suggest appropriate risk management actions for identified risks.
5. Experience of the use of risk management systems eg ARM, PREDICT.
6. Knowledge of risk management techniques.
7. Knowledge of project management and project control processes.

Qualifications Required:

Degree Level or equivalent training & experience.

Desirable - Membership of an appropriate professional body eg IRM, APM

Self motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision.
