Programme Manager - SC

Main Accountabilities:

Delivery - Work with the work-package managers to ensure
* Delivery of systems based project to schedule
* Ensure that best practices are followed in the development of project and risk plans
* Maintenance of project plans, milestones, change control and risk plans
* Carry out regular project reviews to the recognised corporate process
* Ensure flow-down of requirements from the end application to work-packages

Methodology
* Assist in the development of the methodology to deliver systems based programs and projects, especially the methodology required for space based programmes.
* Assist in the development of the systems project life cycle management process
* Establish standard programme templates to assist with future bids

Business Development
* Supporting with planning of bids for systems base projects
* Support with value creation on new prospects
* Strategic capability development enabling the appropriate timely resources and skills to be deployed

Customer
* Act as the key customer interface on systems programmes
* Responsible for management of customer expectations
* Assist in the development of customer reporting tools

Subcontractor Management
* Working with subcontractors to agree specifications and work plans
* Management of the subcontract relationship to ensure delivery of work to those plans

Ideal Experience:

* A proven track record and an extensive experience in successfully delivering complex systems based product development projects preferably for Space base customers.
* Direct contact, and management of, customers in a science or space based environment
* Experience of management of programme with a significant subcontract content
* Knowledge of the PA tools required for successful delivery of development programmes such as DFMA and FEMA

Familiarity/experience of the following would also be a distinct advantage.

* Experience in the management of the development and delivery of imaging systems
* Experience in the disciplines embracing Research, design, systems, implementation, delivery and Customer Services

Your fluency to mother-tongue level in English is essential and although French speaking (or other languages) is not a requirement of the role, it would be a distinct advantage.

SC clearance is required for this role so all applicants must be eligible for SC unless currently cleared.
