Programme Manager (SC) - Contract - Bristol - £competitive

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Programme Manager with a military/defence background to work at a leading client based in Bristol on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Programme Management Team to ensure the successful delivery of the defence programme in question and deliver activities and outputs as directed by the Senior Programme Manager and/or his deputy.

Responsibilities include:

- Work closely with stakeholders within and outside the business to develop and deliver a successful programme outcome
- Managing the smooth running of the PMO and key PMO processes; including proactively managing Risks and Issues 
- Co-ordination of Change Control processes, and supporting the production of various key programme documents/deliverables
- Coordination of Programme Reporting and collation of inputs to key programme governance and management meetings

Experience required:

- Previous experience in programme or project management is required. Ideally the successful candidate will have previously delivered projects within a technical defence or military programme and be fully knowledgeable of the related IT systems and processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and experience of having managed a range of suppliers at a time.
- Demonstrable business change experience and an analytical approach to management
- Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) certification would be desirable
- Due to the nature of the client it would be an advantage for candidates to hold or be eligible to undergo SC Clearance
