My client is undergoing several key developments including service redesign, developing contractual partnerships and service developments. The role will be to develop a portfolio of projects with effective governance and reporting systems and ensuring the programme of work is aligned with the directorate's strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate:

* Demonstrates a strong project and programme management background with a proven track record in delivering outcomes within tight timescales
* Excellent communication and engagement skills - ability to work with all levels of staff effectively
* Strong background in developing a programme of work in line with strategic objectives
* Experience of working in the NHS is essential
* Experience of working in/with pathology is desirable
