Description:

A major investment manager in the UK market has a great opportunity for a Programme Manager to join their Change team initially on a 6 month contract basis. The successful applicant will play a key role in the coordinated management of OTC Derivative related projects that need to be managed together to achieve a common goal. You will often coordinate the efforts of multiple project managers, and may also take direct responsibility for some of the firm's most significant projects yourself.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work closely with key business stakeholders to understand the business challenges and their change programme needs
- Structure and lead change programmes - a collection of projects shaped and managed collectively to achieve a common goal as well as cost and resource schedule optimisation.
- Build out the roadmap for the programme
- Prepare papers/business cases that describe what the programme is aiming to achieve
- Manage stakeholder relationships carefully
- Work with other Programme and Portfolio Managers to ensure that connected projects deliver in harmony, rather than at the expense of each other.
- Manage the involvement of the sponsor, and steering committees actively
- Ensure that the programme leaves behind a detailed history of the decision making process, approvals, sign offs, change control that can be audited easily.

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

- Familiar with the ever changing world of the derivatives operating models driven by regulation You will have significant full time project/programme management experience.
- You have led major programmes of work with a track record of achieving the programme goals, ideally within an Investment Management company.
- Asset Management/Investment Banking experience
- You have been developing yourself as a project manager/Programme Manager through formal training courses, self-study, and on the job training.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Accreditation via a globally recognised project methodology, eg PMI accreditation.
- Investment IMC or other industry qualifications
