Programme Manager/Consultant - Cloud Services Propositions (6 month contract)

ROLE PURPOSE & VISION

A key growth area for the client is the provision of Cloud based IT Managed Service Solutions.

The role of the Programme Manager is to build the capability within existing services to deliver IT Managed Services using On-premise, Hosted, Virtual Private Cloud and Public Cloud infrastructure.

At present the Managed Service Centre consists of Voice and Data skills mainly with Cisco technology.

A partnership arrangement has been made to combine existing Hosting, CoLo and Private Cloud infrastructure to deliver an end-to-end solution for IT Infrastructure design, delivery and support.

In order to integrate this solution set into our current service Portfolio the Programme Manager will complete the service development process to define and implement a new operating model to support combined solution management for customers across our entire portfolio - this include the systems stack, processes, technical capability etc. As part of this the Programme Manager will review, recommend, business case and implement an appropriate operating model considering building on our existing IT capability, building new capability, partnering, etc.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Identify and develop programme opportunities and translate into detailed programme plans
- End to end management of large complex/high risk programmes including developing detailed project plan, selecting and overseeing project managers, liaising with suppliers, managing 3rd party involvement, managing customer relationship through execution phase
- Development and implementation of recovery programmes
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, develop and implementation of stakeholder management plan
- Responsible for all areas of programme management disciplines throughout the programme lifecyle.
- Build and maintain relationships within key areas across the Client eg networks, product management, sales channels, finance, wholesale, credit management, IT, billing, legal, regulatory and compliance where necessary
- Manage own personal development effectively
- Assume line management responsibility for staff engaged on medium - long term programmes

OTHER SKILLS

- Qualifications - Business/Science Degree/PMP Diploma - working toward/achieved Masters level a plus
- Experience - Min 10 years industry experience
- Proven track record of managing recovery programmes
- Proven track record of working at CEO customer level
- Knowledge of project financial management including CVP and SVP methodologies
- Industry Background - Comms/ICT/Consulting/SI
- Experience in large scale programme and project management with recognised qualification
