Programme Manager (Video Content Area)

My client is a leading, global telecommunications company looking for a Programme Manager to join their delivery management group. This group supports the product delivery life cycle, and you will be working within the video apps/content domain.

Responsibilities:
*Product Lifecycle Management
*Program manage one or more larger programs
*Ensure that appropriate targets and milestone dates are set for the speed and quality of product development and manage the life cycle activities to achieve those targets
*Completion of deliverables required for each "Gate Approval"
*Change requests - including impact on time, budget, and quality
*Updating and refining business cases for costs and benefits
*Timely updates of status, changes and other data on to the systems used for reporting and tracking
*Delivery Management - scope is one or more large programs
*Relationship Management

Skills and Experience:
*Experience of working as a program manager within a telecoms environment.
*Particular emphasis is placed on experience in and knowledge of areas of the video apps/content domain, together with experience of the end-to-end product life cycle, in addition to technical delivery. This experience could have been gained in technical, operational, product management, and/or delivery roles
*Delivery Management skills. Comprehensive and strong skills in project and program management, preferably with certification from a recognised professional body eg APM, PMI, IPMA
*A deep understanding and first-hand experience of traditional waterfall and agile project management methodologies used in the industry eg PRINCE2, Scrum
*Domain skills. This role requires several years' experience of working on products and programs in certain areas of the video domain. Knowledge of the operating models, technical architectures, and solution components used in the major markets of the telco/media/cable industry globally would be good.
