The Role

Reporting to the Transformation Delivery Director, the candidate will be an experienced and professionally qualified Project Portfolio/Programme Manager, with a track record of successful delivery of £multi million programmes. The role entails co-ordination of a group of separate and related projects which form a release of new systems and functionality to the WorldPay business. You will be accountable for planning and engaging the business areas in activities that will ensure the successful integration of the release into the WorldPay business. You will have responsibility for; planning the release working with the project managers, leading and directing the release through the final stages of the project life cycle from system integration test to implementation and post-implementation review.

Key Accountabilities

- Successful execution of all the key programme release management components including:
- Planning: Creation and management of business release plans, including all business activity through the stages of the release plan including testing, training, and implementation into live.
- Effective resourcing in line with plans to ensure successful delivery.
- Status Reporting: Accurate, timely and concise reporting on progress to Delivery Director
- Adherance to an agreed release governance structure, with regular stakeholder engagement
- Diagnosis, evaluation and effective management of potential Risks and Issues. Identification and active management of Assumptions and Dependencies.
- Working with the Training and Comms leads to ensure effective and appropriate training and communication.

Skills working across organisational boundaries, actively utilising diversity within a team to maximise work group effectiveness
- Look at the bigger picture, recognising the dynamics of problems, issues and situations - eg takes account of the different interests and perspectives at play
- Proven track record of successful programme delivery.
- An awareness of commercial and contractual issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across all divisions.
- PMI/Prince 2 project management qualification
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Previous experience of a large scale programme in the Cards Acquiring industry is preferable but not essential.

Other Significant Role Requirements:

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast and ever changing environment
- Ability to work alone and or as part of a team, whilst remaining self motivated
- Adaptable to change

Technical Knowledge:

- PMI/Prince 2 methodologies
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile/Iterative development approaches.
- Experienced user of MS Office suite inc Project
- Cards Industry knowledge preferable.
