We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Global Programme Delivery Team on a 6-12 month fixed term basis. This position will be focused on our UK Government, Open to Export initiative. Project management experience in a commercial environment will be required as well as exposure to public sector initiatives. This role will be based at our Reading Head office.

This is an urgent requirement for the business so you must be avialble to start at short notice.

Role Purpose:

The role holder will plan and execute the successful delivery of projects using a structured Project methodology or by using Agile approaches to delivery such as Scrum. The role will involve managing projects that vary in both complexity and size and across a number of disciplines including organizational change, process, infrastructure and/or system development (where required). The role holder will be responsible for all aspects of planning, monitoring and controlling the project to agreed schedules, quality, risks, issues, budgets and change controls.

In addition, they will be responsible for working with other Project Team professionals to extract requirements/backlogs and to continually manage and monitor changes. The role holder will close projects in an effective manner by capturing and recording the learning to help the business measure the success of the Project.

The Project manager will report directly to a Product Owner, Programme Manager or Project Sponsor for the day to day running of the project.

Role Responsibilities:

•Plan and Deliver business and technical projects to agreed scope, on time and to budget
•Facilitate the delivery of User Requirements or Scrum backlog for newly allocated projects
•Identify resource requirements and manage them to enable project deliverables to be met
•Establish effective Project governance approach in agreement with Project Sponsor, Owner and/or Programme Manager.
•Manage and control budgets against agreed business case
•Work with other projects to understand and manage cross -project dependencies
•Identify, record and effectively monitor project: Risks, Issues, quality standards and changes to scope
•Plan and execute implementation of project deliverables to the business recipient of change
•Conduct a post project review and record outcomes and lessons learned.
•Maintain effective two way communication with Stakeholders and Business Management, to ensure buy in and confidence through out the Project Lifecycle
Knowledge, Skills and Experience - Must be able to demonstrate substantial experience in these areas

Essential:

•Experience in managing projects across multiple business environment, preferably within a Blue Chip organisation
•Experience in government or public sector projects.
•Strong knowledge/understanding of Technology and Online Media/Digital related projects
•Experience of managing iterative projects using an Agile Methodology such as Scrum
•High degree of organisation and attention to detail
•Experience of business change is essential for this role
•Exposure of working within a Global business would be a major advantage
•Strong Communicator, able to convey information in a clear and concise manner at a variety of levels
•Workshop management and meeting facilitation skills using a variety of media
•Able to handle ambiguous demands and changing requirements
•Analytical skills and critical thinking
•Excellent facilitation skills
Desirable:

•Team management
•Language skills - Spanish
In order to be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate proof of eligibility to work in the UK and hold a valid work visa if applicable.
