Programme Manager

ACT LOCATION

12 MONTHS CONTRACT

A large Government Department is looking for a Programme Manager to provide Programme Management Assurance services to the Commonwealth regarding the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) outcomes from the Department.

DUTIES

- Supporting the achievement of large scale ICT Reform through the implementation of SOA;
- Providing senior Programme Management and Assurance expertise on the strategic direction, funding, assurance, governance, and risk mitigation options;
- Identifying and mitigating any risks evident in proposed programme plans and approaches;

EXPERIENCE

- Proven extensive experience of Program Management or related discipline;
- Extensive experience in service delivery;
- Expertise in leadership, execution, stakeholder management and negotiation;
- Significant experience in managing large integration programs using a SOA approach;
- Successful track record, gained over many years, in program management and in managing large complex programs;
- Broad knowledge of commercial, technical and legal issues;
- ability to manage and mentor high performing contributors who must excel in dynamic, high stress, high stakes customer-facing environments;
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers, project managers, executives and clients at multiple levels within the Department; and
- Must be able to obtain a clearance at the SECRET level.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

- Understanding of business change management;
- Tertiary qualifications in the field of project management; and
- Understanding and experience of implementing SOA based projects
