JOB SUMMARY
Fixed Term for 2 years
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, experienced manager to set up a new Programme Management Office, to manage and monitor a significant number of complex projects in a service undergoing transformational change.
You will monitor and support the development of effective project and programme management processes, monitor project resource requirements and agree the allocation of appropriate resources for projects and programmes with stakeholders and IT Service Heads.
You will also have responsibility for the line management of other members of staff within the One IT Programme Office.
A degree, or equivalent qualification, or significant proven experience in the field is essential for the role. You will need to overcome various challenges, which include introducing a structured Resource Management methodology within the IT department and ensuring a consistent and agreed approach to Project Management. You will also need to ensure that all cross project risks and issues are identified and reported upon and that projects are reported accurately, in an agreed format and in a timely manner.
