Programme and Database Manager

Electricity North West are looking to recruit a Programme and Database Manager responsible for the training centre delivery programme and database.

The post will be based at our Training Centre near Ormskirk in Lancashire but will be moving to our new facility in Blackburn during 2013. Reporting to the Training Manager and liaising with key stakeholders across the business and externally, the successful candidate will be part of the Engineering Development team where you will be responsible for:

The training centre delivery programme ensuring effective formulation and scheduling of all training programmes, in conjunction with the electrical operational trainers and the associated training support staff.
The management and performance of the training database and any associated training, authorisation, and upskilling systems.
The production of regulatory reports and management information in accordance with regulatory and company reporting protocols.
The timely production and formulation of the training centre output reports including customer satisfaction scores, training days and income and expenditure reporting, to support course delivery programme efficiency and to aid capacity and resource planning.

The successful candidate will have:

Experience of leading and managing a team
A broad range of experience across a number of IT packages, including MS Office and database packages
Experience of creating and managing core business databases
Experience of SAP cost centre reporting and extensive SAP knowledge (desirable)
A proven track record of producing business Management Information
Good interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational/administration skills
Good communication skills with the ability to influence others and deal effectively with trainees, external suppliers and internal departments across the organisation
The ability to work independently to manage own time and workload and be adaptable and flexible in approach
Experience of working in an engineering and/or operational business (desirable)
HNC/degree level qualification or equivalent (desirable)
Hold a UK driving licence (desirable)
