Dynamic fortune 500 Organization in Dunwoody, GA is looking for a strong PROGRAM/ PRODUCT MANAGER (WIFI/INTERNET) to join their team for an 12+ month Contract.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Product Operations Program Manager will be responsible for the development and launch support of clients Business services. Primary responsibility will INCLUDE INTERNET AND WI-FI SERVICES.
This ideal candidate is someone with the ability to understand and document processes for TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS and an aptitude for project management. The role includes business process development, method and procedure authoring and user acceptance testing of customer facing applications.
Performing this role involves spearheading successful IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW PRODUCTS/SERVICES, and subsequent product/service enhancements across client systems, in accordance with the existing product development and PRODUCT LAUNCH METHODOLOGY.
This includes; managing the completion of tasks for product deployments, developing action plans, launch and/or implementation timelines and activities; as well as assisting MPs for new products introduced on the network.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Perform day to day interaction with PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCT MANAGEMENT ON PRODUCTS, enhancements and initiatives being developed and launched.
- Partner with Markets and PRODUCT OPERATIONS RESOURCES AND LEAD A SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF NEW PRODUCTS.
- Creation of operational requirements and operational method and procedure documents (ie Tier I/II/III support, installation and field services) for a new Internet gateway product
- Execute project planning process to support the implementation of products, enhancements and resolution of cross-functional operational support issues.
- Communicate major milestones and identify potential project risks; conduct regular status meetings to review project activities; manage prioritization procedures
- Takes responsibility, including performing user acceptance testing for changes to applications software and systems environments supporting clients Business products, to ensure that these changes to the environment have been properly tested and adequately coordinated.
- Reinforce escalation and service level agreement procedures with internal and external issue resolution teams.
- Ability to facilitate and work with large cross functional teams in a Matrix organization.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, with particular emphasis on Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel is required
- 5-7 YEARS OF PRODUCT OPERATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL OPERATIONS EXPERIENCE IN THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY REQUIRED.
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE MANAGING NUMEROUS PROJECTS/INITIATIVES SIMULTANEOUSLY IN A MATRIX ORGANIZATION REQUIRED
- Strong presentation and communications skills a must, including experience tailoring and presenting communications and recommendations across organizational management levels
