Program Manager Senior

OVERVIEW:

Our client is seeking a motivated and dynamic Product Manager to support a cross-functional team including other product managers, quality engineers, architects, and other developers. As a Product Manager you will help build an infrastructure capable of supporting hundreds of millions of users. The development group will leverage a combination of open standards to deliver communication servicesincluding voice, video, chat and presenceto the web and enable radically new applications. The technology used by the team will include distributed databases and frameworks (eg, Azure Table Store, Blob Store, Queues, Map/Reduce), RESTful APIs, scalable message passing and fault tolerance. The development process is rapid, iterative and based on Scrum.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Plan and coordinate SCRUM Review and Planning meetings
- Schedule and run backlog grooming meetings
- Create sprints projects and track completion of PBI's for sprints.
- Coordinate project communication between dependent teams.
- Communicate project status outside our org to other dependent teams.
- Drive accountability for completion of developer assigned work.
- Provide definition of done for defined units of work assigned to sprints.
- Track progress of work for any given sprint.
- Drive accountability of dependent teams to delivery dependencies on time.
- Prepare presentations outlining function of the project for communication to external groups and upper management.
- Drive business value in features defined and continuously measure success of features via metrics gathered from production in the form of KPI's (Key performance indicators).
- Assess schedule dependencies, and communicate appropriately in order to facilitate timely delivery.
- Document and publish release details at end of every sprint. Keep public API definitions up to date and well communicated.
- React and adapt to changing landscape by writing solid specifications, and functional requirements as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Min 5 years of demonstrated work experience
- Excellent communication skills.
- Solid grasp of technical landscape in Cloud, SOA and or protocols.
- Ability to translate feature requirements into product specifications.
- Excellent time management, organization skills, and self-directed.
- Previous experience developing network protocols or high availability networks and services is highly desirable.
- Ability to comprehend architectural details and translate into functional requirements.
- Possess a customer centric view regarding product development, and the ability to articulate needs/demands of the customer and dependent teams to staff engineers building product.
