Our client has a requirement for a Program Manager - Records Management for an 18 Month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role

A Records Manager is responsible for handling all the records of an organization. The individual has to classify, index, store, and arrange all records of an organization contained on paper, computer, microfilm and other media. The job also involves coordination with all the concerned departments and stakeholders involved with report or record management/analysis and satisfying legal requirements regarding record keeping. A candidate needs an associate degree with a strong ability to index records - physically and on the computer. The ideal candidate would have their MBA with fine organization, administration, communication, time management, troubleshooting analysis, and computer skills. They must also have prior experience in setting up a records management practice/governance model in prior assignments. Since this individual will be leading a Records Management project, they will be expected to be experienced in project management frameworks and methodologies and have managed similar programs/projects in prior assignments.

Responsibilities

- Provide analysis of the existing records management documents, practices, collaterals and associated file and retention plans
- Provide recommendation about records classification (including search) approach or standard to adopt, and identify work effort involved
- Provide recommendation about records retention approach or standard to adopt, and identify work effort involved
- Attend and lead meetings, facilitations and/or interview sessions with Record Management project stakeholders,
- Provide recommendation addressing specific business requirements for functionality,
- Provide records management implementation roadmap starting at requirements analysis up to a stage where technology design can begin.
- Working with the company and other suppliers, determine high level implementation requirements,
- Provide key input into the records management SOW for next project phases,
- Provide a final discovery report(s) of the items above including next steps and key risks and presentation of the findings to the management and project team.

Requirements or Qualifications

- Associate degree with a strong ability to index records - physically and on the computer.
- Prior experience in setting up a records management practice/governance model in prior assignments.
- Experienced in project management frameworks and methodologies and have managed similar programs/projects in prior assignments.
- MBA is an asset with fine organization, administration, communication, time management, troubleshooting analysis, and computer skills.
