For our client we are currently looking for PROGRAM MANAGER (APPLICATION MIGRATION) in Antwerp, Belgium or Strassburg, Austria, or remote from Switzerland.

Start date: ASAP
Duration: 12 Months +
Location: Main Workplace will be Antwerp and Strassburg, remote work is an option, but in the beginning majority of work can be expected onsite and alongside the customer.

Profile description

Strong Program Manager to manage the R&D portion of the overall portfolio of application. Working alongside the client to categorize, and plan the migration of applications using recognized Program management techniques to create a structured organization, reporting cycles, communication, cost and resource planning, schedule and scope.

Experience Level

* 6 to 10 years of project/Program Management experience

Tasks

* Reporting directly into the overall Applications portfolio manager
* Takes active role on all negotiations affecting scope, delivery effort, cost to complete, time to complete or risk profile - from bid onwards.
* Builds and maintains strong working relationships with key stakeholders
* Works with the client to agree a governance process that identifies, agrees and manages dependencies between Master plans and other demands placed on the client business
* Point of escalation for Work Streams to resolve problems that impact on time and to budget delivery of the programme
* Reports on the programme progress to the executive committee and project sponsor
* Provides coaching to leadership team
* Builds and maintains a strong, highly motivated program
* Maintains effective communication with and between all functional areas of the programme team, as well as with client's management team
* Manages the program as a Profit and Loss
* Leads the program but empowers reports to manage their teams

Deliverables

* Deliver agreed scope of program to time, cost and quality targets.
* Maintain customer confidence and satisfaction in program and ability to deliver.
* Manage program risk to an acceptable level
* Maintain morale and motivation of program team
* Provide leadership to program team
* Identify & exploit opportunities to grow programme revenues & profit
* Develop and maintain a detailed program schedule (MPP)
* Manage and maintain detailed scope and scope change requests.
* Develop and maintain resource forecasts
* Develop and maintain Risk Issues and actions Logs using PPMC

Skills needed

* Domain knowledge - ideally should have worked in the industry
* Strong ability to operate as a business peer with senior client stakeholders
* Politically aware
* Understands program versus project
* IT Project management and IT Technical implementation skills.
* Skilled in regional complex technical project management initiatives
* Strong project management skills with excellent track record in large project deployments
* Strong team player and ability to communicate effectively with upper management levels
* Excellent skills in MS Scheduling
* Language (written/spoken)
* Fluent English, German optional
