Program Manager

Position Description:

This position will be based in Southern California (Corona Campus) and reports to the Director of Capacity & Utilization in the Infrastructure Management Group as part of Service Transition and Operations organization.

The Senior Program Manager will be a key participant in ensuring the successful development and implementation of the Enterprise Systems Management architecture and Strategy program across the Enterprise. This includes various aspects of the service life cycle such as Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operations and Continual Service Improvement.

Day-to-Day Operational Services:

- Participate in various aspects of the project which can include coordinating project tasks, execution of tasks and technical support of the deployed solutions
- Provide guidance and expertise to junior members of the project and support team
- Drive complex technical issues to resolutions
- Develop and implement technical solutions to address requirements
- Construct and present status reports with their corresponding
- Be able to work flexible hours - maintenance and installation work is usually performed outside of regular working hours.
- Work from the Corona facility five days a week

Experience Level:

- 15+ years experience of Project Management/Program Management Experience on an Enterprise Level.
- Infrastructure operations and engineering experience

Minimum Qualifications:

- Incredibly technical with the ability to be a forward thinker and the capability to communicate the right message at the right level to executive management.
- Managed large scale projects over 10 millon dollars
- Strong working knowledge/experience of the specialist technology tower
- Knowledge and experience working with UNIX and Windows Operating Systems
- A solid understanding of Databases and Middleware components
- Experience with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Project)
- A well-organized individual with attention to details and the eagerness to take accountability
- Highly motivated, self-starting and committed to achieving results with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Exceptionally strong communication skills, both orally and written
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiar with the following monitoring products: FogLight, BMC ProactiveNet and NetCool (OMNIbus/Impact)
- Familiar with the following monitoring products: Tivoli Monitoring, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and VMware's vCenter Operations Manager (vCOps)
- DBA experience with MS SQL or Oracle
- Experience with administration of WebSphere, IHS, IIS, Apache and Tomcat
- BS or Masters degree in Computer Science
- Scripting and programming experience is a plus
- Analytical - understands and actively seeks the use of metrics and critical thinking to distill situations, guide messages and steer decisions.
