Flint are seeking a Program Director - Data Centres, IP security,WiFi/LTE seamless mobility for a key client to be based in Mumbai, India
The Program Director is responsible for leading and managing the end to end program encompassing the plan, design and integration of multiple data centres, end to end IP security, cloud services and wifi-LTE seamless mobility.
The program consists of a number of interrelated projects, each led by a project or program manager, and each responsible for delivering a key component of the overall solution.
The Program Director will need to ensure that the various projects remain aligned and that the integration between the projects is properly managed within a highly changeable environment. The project leads for each of the projects will report into the Program Director.
This role requires an experienced PD who is highly resilient and used to working in a robust high pressure working environment. You will be expected to oversee the development and creation of processes and procedures for efficient implementation, as well as effective reporting and issues management.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Management of the key executives stakeholder from the vendor and the MNO
- Plan, direct, coordinate, and lead activities of the project to ensure that goals, objectives and all elements of the program are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
- Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arrange for assignment of project personnel
- Outline work plan to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
- Prepare and review program reports for presentation to Executive Committee of the program
- Responsible for ensuring the program tracks and delivers within budget, scope, time and quality constraints
- Responsible for escalation management
THE CANDIDATE:
- 15-20 years experience managing and leading large network deployments and turnkey projects. Experience of greenfield environments preferred.
- Adaptable and able to function well within a highly unstructured and changeable environment, and can bring much needed stability and discipline
- Able to remain calm under pressure and maintain a sense of humour
- Program management thought leader and veteran with strong command over the PM competencies
- Strong leadership capabilities and able to provide vision and strategic direction to the team
- Highly effective at managing conflict. Is able to address unprofessional behaviour swiftly in order to maintain a work environment
- Extensive systems integration and release management experience
- Well versed in core PMI competencies including time, cost and scope management, stakeholder, governance and communication management, risk management and quality management
