Program Director

Yoh has an immediate contract opportunity for a PROGRAM DIRECTOR with our client in Philadelphia, PA. This is a long term contract opportunity.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Program Director will be working to support larger $100 MM portfolio for Communication/Data/Mobility (Xfinity Wi-Fi, Internet, email platform etc.) and be responsible for $5MM AUPM Program. AUPM is a program to implement software to monitor usage of our client's products. Usage meters will be created to determine how much data is being used, per customer/user. AUPM is made up of 5 projects, each of which has its own PM and team of software development and data integration engineers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for the coordinated management of multiple related projects toward a common objective for the AUPM Program (Audit Usage Policy Mgmt)
- Works with constituent Project Managers (who are responsible to the Program Manager for the execution of their project and its impact on the program) to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program. Generally responsible for determining and coordinating the sharing of resources among their constituent projects to the overall benefit of the program.
- May have some out of scope work streams to cover

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ten (10) to Fifteen (15) years of experience; minimum Five (5) + years Program Management experience or equivalent, or Five (5) to Ten (10) years Senior Project Management experience supporting large, enterprise initiatives ideally in a Telecommunications environment.
- Manage program change in accordance with the change management plan to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, and contracts.
- Address program issues by identifying and selecting a course of action by taking into account the program constraints and objectives in order to enable continued program progress.
- Execute program plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing, etc.) by using the tools identified in the planning phase and by auditing the results of their use in order to align the program outcomes with stakeholder expectations and standards
- Develop a high-level milestone plan using goals and objectives of the program, applicable historical information, and other available resources in order to align program with expectations of sponsors and stakeholders
- Establish alliances with other departments and organizations by recognizing dependencies in order to assess potential partnership and commitment to the program
- Capture program status and data by ensuring the population of the program management information system in order to maintain accurate and current program information for the use of stakeholders
- Obtain senior management approval for the program by presenting the program charter with its high-level costs and benefits for the organization in order to receive authorization to proceed to the next phases
- Speaks clearly; Communicates information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
- Establishes and maintains interpersonal relationships
- Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
- Polished, crisp professional with big 4 consulting experience (ideal but not required), business savvy, good conflict resolution and able to influence others without official authority
- Technical Project/Program management experience with understanding of Agile framework as software teams are utilizing it (but by no means will be a practicing agilest)
