As a direct report to the Director, Portfolio Management, the person in this role will be accountable for helping to establish an enterprise Portfolio Management capability for this Global Player through the execution of project deliveries for the Solutions and Technology organization. Specifically, this resource should have robust tool knowledge, a deep understanding of the SDLC and an ability to be a flexible thought leader in the face of changing customer requirements. This person should have experience in System Integration projects and should be able to thrive in complex project environments. This person will be responsible for contributing to the creation of processes and tools to provide visibility across the entire technology product landscape and help enable leaders to make decisions regarding how to optimize technology product investments.

Core responsibilities will include:

- Own Technology Programs and a Portfolio in the -$100 Million range or greater
- Demand management and forecasting
- Staff management and team leadership a direct HR accountability for team of 7-10 PM resources
- Thrive in a fast paced, ambiguous environment that is quick to change.
- Assisting in the creation of a portfolio management organization and discipline
- Become the SME throughout the SDLC for each project given.
- Perform industry standard project management tasks to include project communications plan, schedule and delivery items as identified in the PMBOK.
- Engaging with business leaders to gather requirements for efficient project execution
- Helping to establish processes and tools to lead projects and programs as a portfolio
- Participating in discussions regarding project/program funding and prioritization
- Assisting in the implementation of a portfolio management software product
- Operating in an environment of transparency, teamwork and ownership
- Evangelizing the portfolio management function within the organization
- Lead large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives
- Direct cross-functional and/or cross-segment teams (100-200+ resources)
- Predict emerging customer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them
- Participate in the development of business strategy
- Develop and manages business plans to achieve objectives
- Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
- Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
- Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches.

- Knowledge of enterprise funding and prioritization processes
- Professional maturity and emotional intelligence, evidenced by the ability to effectively interact with executives
- Demonstrated ability to help influence decision making and sell ideas
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to see, understand and explain the big picture
- Ability to operate autonomously with minimal direction
- Experience in working within the Health Industry would be a Huge benefit

Candidates will possess:

- 10+ years overall in the IT industry in a large Fortune 500 company
- 8 + years of experience as an IT Project or Program Manager
- 5+ years or more of Budget Accountability and ROI of at least MM or more
- 2+ years leading direct teams of PM resources (at least 4 or more staff)
- Prior experience with Planview, MS Project or Clarity (or similar product) a must
- 2+ years of experience conducting business or systems analysis

Assets:

- Knowledge of enterprise funding and prioritization processes
- Experience with resource forecasting and planning functions preferred
- Healthcare industry background desirable
- Experiences across both application development and infrastructure disciplines preferred
- Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experiences
- PMP Certification
- Exposure to multiple PM methodologies
- Process implementation & re-engineering experience
- MS Access - ad hoc reporting
- Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experiences
